PRIZE DRAW RULES
Effective: 4 November 2025
Please read these rules carefully. They are a contract between you and us. If you enter, you agree to them.
No purchase, payment or donation is needed to enter or win. Every valid entry has an equal chance of winning.
1. Who we are
Promoter: Glad Technologies Limited (”Glad”)
Company Registration Number: 14924051
Registered address: 85 Great Portland Street First Floor London W1W 7LT
VAT Number: GB474258077
We run prize draws to accelerate the cleanup of legacy greenhouse gases.
2. Where the prize draws live
You can enter at gladclimate.com (our “site”) and any other channel we make available from time to time. We call these the Platforms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and a legal resident of the United Kingdom. You cannot enter if you are:
An employee, officer or director of Glad or any company under common control with Glad.
An employee, officer or director of a third party we engage to help administer a draw where their contract says they must not enter.
An immediate family member of, or living in the same household as, any of the people above.
An employee, officer or director of a greenhouse gas removal partner that a particular draw supports.
We may ask for ID to check eligibility.
4. How prizes unlock
Each prize is linked to an impact milestone. When the community reaches that milestone, the prize unlocks and the draw closes automatically.
The timing depends on how quickly the Climate Pot grows - how many members join and how many entries are purchased.
Bonus Prize Draws follow the same process. They unlock when we reach specific community milestones.
We are the official record keeper for all milestones and entry timings.
5. How to enter
A. Paid method of entry
You can take part by buying entries. Entries can be bought as a Single Purchase bundle or earned monthly through a Membership Plan.
To buy entries, visit the Prize Draw page on the website, choose your bundle or plan, add your details and pay. Once payment is confirmed, your entries are allocated automatically and entered into the active Prize Draw.
B. Free postal entry
You can enter any Prize Draw for free by post. Postal entries are treated exactly the same as paid for entries – every valid entry has an equal chance of winning.
To enter, clearly write or type your full legal name, address (no PO boxes), city, postcode, and optionally your phone number and email address on a sheet of paper or postcard. Send it by first or second class post to:
FAO: Prize Draw Administrator
Glad Technologies Limited
85 Great Portland Street
First Floor
London
W1W 7LT
Each postcard or envelope counts as one entry. You can send as many as you like, but only one entry is allowed per piece of mail received.
Your entry will be added to the next available Cleanup Cash Prize Draw and any Bonus Prize Draws running that season. The entry date is when we process your postcard, not when it’s posted.
If your entry is incomplete or unclear, it won’t be valid and we may not be able to contact you.
C. Bonus Prize Draws for members
From time to time we run Bonus Prize Draws that are only available to Glad members. These bonus prizes sit at climate impact milestones and unlock when the community reaches that milestone.
Members are entered automatically using their allocated entries according to their Membership Plan.
6. Fair entry and limits
Entries (including those purchased via the site or submitted via post) must be accurate and complete. Illegible, incomplete or corrupted entries are void.
Proof of posting or submitting is not proof of receipt.
There is no maximum number of entries per person.
Do not use multiple email addresses or identities. We may void entries and disqualify you if you do.
Do not use bots or automated systems. We will void those entries and may disqualify you.
By entering, you agree we can contact you about the draw in line with our Privacy Policy.
7. How entries relate to climate cleanup
Glad exists to fix climate change by cleaning up legacy greenhouse gases. When you buy entries, you’re funding that work. For every pound we receive we split fees as follows:
60% goes to the Climate Pot funding a portfolio of independently verified greenhouse gas removal projects that deliver real, lasting impact.
20% goes to the Prize Pot creating the rewards that make taking part fun and help more people join the cleanup.
20% goes to cover our running costs and help us grow the movement.
Free postal entries are always available and have the same chance of winning.
8. Selecting the winner
We pick potential winners using a verifiably random process from all eligible entries. We publish the winning entry code on our Platforms after the draw. Your odds depend on the total number of eligible entries.
9. Contacting the winner
We email potential winners using the address used to enter. You must reply within 96 hours unless we state a longer period in the email. If you do not reply in time we may disqualify you and draw another potential winner. If you provided a phone number we may also call you.
10. Verifying the winner
You only become the winner once we confirm you meet these rules. We may ask for reasonable documents or confirmations. You must accept the prize within the timeframe we set. Our decisions are final and binding unless the law says otherwise.
11. Publicity and winner lists
We may publish that a prize draw took place and would like to share the details of winners from within our community. Publicity helps show that the system works and inspires more people to take part in the cleanup.
You are under no obligation to take part in publicity or to have your name shared. If you prefer to stay private, you can object at any time by letting us know.
If you do object, we may still need to share limited details with regulators if they request them.
To ask for or check details of past winners, you can email help@gladclimate.com after the prize announcement.
12. When we may disqualify
We may refuse a prize and/or disqualify you if you:
Do not meet the eligibility rules.
Break these rules or our site terms.
Provide an invalid email address or do not respond in time.
Cannot complete identity checks within 7 working days of the draw.
Provide false or misleading information.
Commit fraud or act abusively toward our team.
Cannot accept the prize in time.
Or we cannot award the prize due to events outside our control like legal restrictions, natural disasters or similar.
If we disqualify a potential winner we will draw an alternate winner and repeat as needed.
13. Prizes
The prize is shown on the Prize Draw page. Unless stated otherwise, prizes are awarded as is. You cannot transfer, sell or swap a prize. If needed, we may substitute a prize with one of equal or higher value or with cash.
Unless stated otherwise, you are responsible for any taxes, fees and expenses linked to accepting or using a prize.
You can decline some or all of a prize any time up to the announcement of the winner. If you reject or do not accept delivery in a reasonable time you will not receive an alternative or compensation and we may award it to someone else.
14. Keeping things fair
We may cancel, suspend or change a draw if fraud, bugs, outages, legal changes or other events outside our control affect the integrity or proper running of the draw. We may also carry out maintenance on our Platforms.
Any attempt to damage our Platforms or undermine a draw may be unlawful. We may seek damages to the full extent allowed.
We may disqualify anyone trying to tamper with entries or our site, breaking these rules, or behaving in an unsportsmanlike, abusive or disruptive way.
15. Refunds and cooling-off
All entries help fund verified climate cleanup once each prize milestone is unlocked and the season wraps up. Because this process depends on community progress and begins before prizes are awarded, entries purchases are generally non-refundable.
When you buy entries, you agree that your participation starts immediately and that standard consumer cooling-off rights do not apply once your payment is confirmed.
That said, we know honest mistakes can happen. If you accidentally make a duplicate payment or purchase the wrong number of entries, email help@gladclimate.com within 4 hours of payment. If the draw hasn’t yet been processed and your entries haven’t been allocated, we’ll do our best to resolve it as a one-time goodwill gesture.
Outside this short window, or once your entries are confirmed, all sales are final and no refunds can be given.
16. Our liability to you
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or where the law does not allow us to limit liability.
If we breach these rules we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach, but not for losses that are not foreseeable. Apart from the paragraph above, our total liability to you is capped at £100.
If your entry is mistakenly deleted, lost or corrupted, your only remedy is another entry.
17. Law and courts
These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the English courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK you can rely on any mandatory local consumer protections and bring proceedings in your local courts.
18. Complaints and dispute resolution
Email help@gladclimate.com for complaints.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to provide a final response within 30 days.
If we cannot resolve the issue within 30 days we will invite you to independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) with an appropriate UK mediation provider. Using ADR does not affect your right to go to court.
19. Privacy
We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Please read them as they form part of these rules.
20. Contact us
If you have questions about these rules or a draw email help@gladclimate.com.
