Terms of SERVICE

1. Introduction
These Terms of Service set out the agreement between you and Glad Technologies Limited (“Glad”, “we”, “our”, “us”) when you use our climate-action services, buy prize draw entries, join as a monthly member, or enter the Climate Prize Draw via post.
These Terms apply to everyone who interacts with Glad, including postal entrants, paid prize draw entrants and monthly members.
If you enter any Climate Prize Draw in any way, you must also read the Climate Prize Draw Rules. Those rules govern how entries work, how winners are chosen and how refunds operate for prize draw purchases.
By using any Glad service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not take part.
2. Who we are
Glad Technologies Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14924051).
Registered address: 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London, W1W 7LT.
Glad helps remove legacy greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. We are a UK-based organisation focused on climate action.
3. Our services
Glad provides climate-action services and related features, including:
access to the Climate Prize Draw through paid entries or free postal entry
monthly membership that supports verified greenhouse gas removal
Climate Savings, giving members access to exclusive offers from Glad brand partners
climate-impact reporting that shows the progress of our collective cleanup effort
Participation in the Climate Prize Draw is governed separately by the Prize Draw Rules.
4. Customer types covered by these Terms
These Terms apply to:
Entrants to the Climate Prize Draw, whether through paid entry or free postal entry
Monthly members with a recurring subscription
Anyone who uses a referral code, whether giving or receiving
Postal entrants are covered by these Terms for use of the Site and conduct, but their prize draw participation is governed entirely by the Climate Prize Draw Rules and does not create a paid service contract.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
provide accurate information
keep your account details secure
use the Site and our services responsibly and lawfully
not interfere with, damage or misuse our systems
follow the Climate Prize Draw Rules if you take part in a draw
We want Glad to remain safe, fair and welcoming for everyone.
6. Membership and paid services
If you buy entries or join as a monthly member, you enter into a commercial relationship with Glad. This includes:
paying the price shown at the point of purchase
authorising recurring payments for membership
allowing us to deliver climate-action services on your behalf
Cancelling your membership stops future billing.
Cancellation does not affect entries already allocated for an active draw.
7. Postal entries
Postal entrants do not pay Glad for any service.
Postal entry is governed solely by the Climate Prize Draw Rules.
Postal entrants still agree to follow these Terms when using our Site or interacting with our services.
8. Climate action delivery
Glad allocates a defined portion of paid contributions to fund independently verified greenhouse gas removal. Information about the Climate Pot, our suppliers and our reporting is published on the Site.
We may update suppliers or methods from time to time. Any changes will be published on the Site.
9. Referral programme
All customers may use and share their referral code, including postal entrants, paid entrants and monthly members.
Referral rewards are only earned when the person using your referral code becomes a paying participant by purchasing a bundle or joining a membership. Referrals of postal entrants do not generate referral rewards.
Referral entries are added only to draws that are still open at the time the referred person completes their qualifying paid entry, and are never added retroactively.
You must use the referral programme in good faith. Fraudulent or automated referrals may result in suspension or disqualification.
10. Payments, billing and refunds
For monthly members:
membership renews monthly
you may cancel at any time
no further payments are taken after cancellation
For paid prize draw entrants:
paid bundles are one-off purchases
refunds follow the Climate Prize Draw Rules, including the 14-day cooling-off period and the milestone-based refund process set out in Sections 15 and 13D of those rules
If you request a refund under the Prize Draw Rules and your paid entries are removed, you will no longer take part in that Season’s draws.
Postal entry remains free and does not create any payment obligation.
11. Our right to make changes
We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in law, our services or how we operate. When we update them, we will publish the new version here. If you continue using Glad after the changes are published, you accept the updated Terms.
12. Service availability
We aim to keep Glad running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that:
the Site will always be available
the Site or Services will be free from errors or interruptions
We may pause or update parts of the Site for maintenance or improvement.
13. Liability
We do not limit or exclude liability where the law does not allow it, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Otherwise, and as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:
losses that are not foreseeable
indirect or consequential losses
losses caused by events outside our control
losses arising from the use of free services or postal entry
Your use of Glad’s services is at your own risk.

15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If a dispute arises that we cannot resolve informally, it will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
