Our MISSION
Glad is a non-profit that exists because our climate is in real trouble.
We believe that change doesn’t come from waiting - it comes from people acting together. That when enough of us show up, we will clean up the atmosphere and change what’s possible.
WHY WE EXIST
We’ve polluted our atmosphere with greenhouse gas.
These gases trap heat and make the Earth warmer, causing floods, fires, and all kinds of harm.
Glad exists to clean up the mess.
OUR VISION
We see a world with a healthy climate. Where responsibility for the atmosphere is shared rather than avoided.
It’s the world we want to live in, and the world our grandchildren deserve. We’re not trying to invent something new. We’re working to repair the damage already done.
Our PLAN
To fix climate change, we need to stop burning fossil fuels and clean up the mess we’ve already made.
Right now, we’re not moving fast enough. Emissions are still rising, governments are distracted and too many powerful interests are chasing short-term gain. That doesn’t mean we give up. It means we roll up our sleeves and take a different approach.
We need businesses to stop polluting, but waiting for them to change on their own won’t work. Nor will asking politely, chaining ourselves to trees, or gluing ourselves to the road. History shows they move for one of two reasons: pressure or promise. Regulation, fines and taxation on one side. Growth, incentives and opportunity on the other. Right now, both are too weak.
That pressure has to come from governments. And governments only act when it’s the will of the public.
That public is us.
Glad brings people together so millions of small contributions add up to real climate impact and a shared voice that’s hard to ignore. Not through guilt or grand gestures, but through practical action that shows what’s possible.
Every new member strengthens that voice.
Glad isn’t just about savings or prizes. And it isn’t a symbolic gesture or a list of names. It’s about people power. Because working together is how progress is made.
