Last days of Season 1 at the Glad Climate Club

At the start of this year, we launched Season 1 of the Glad Climate Club.
Inspired by nature, each season at Glad is 12 weeks long which means our very first season is wrapping up early next week.
Here’s what to expect, and why it matters.
Your impact: cleaning up legacy emissions
Most importantly, we’ll be closing the books on this season’s Climate Cleanup Pot - confirming exactly how much legacy greenhouse gas removal we’ll be purchasing, thanks to our members.
The final total will be shared on the Season 1 page and right here on the Glad blog.
We’ll also be updating members directly, so everyone can see the impact they’ve helped make possible.
What happens next: tracking the impact over time
Once the total is confirmed, we’ll begin purchasing removals from the suppliers using this season’s chosen methods:
Biochar
Biomass sinking
Direct air capture
Enhanced rock weathering
Each project will be tracked on the Season 1 page, with a timeline showing the progress of every kilogram we support - from purchase to permanent removal.
We’ll also share updates from the projects on the blog and send them straight to members.
Credit where it’s due
Everyone who joined the Glad Climate Club during Season 1 now has a permanent “Season 1” supporter badge on their personal Impact Record - alongside a running total of the greenhouse gas they’ve helped clean up.
Members who join after this season closes won’t receive the Season 1 badge, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s a great moment to jump in.
Season 2 is just around the corner
As Season 1 closes, Season 2 begins.
More on that very soon.
Until then, thank you. Whether you’ve been with us since day one, or you’re just tuning in now - this is what climate action looks like when we do it together.
