Glad is a prize draw - a chance to win cold, hard cash. It’s also a way to save money on everyday essentials and nice-to-haves. But it’s about much more than that.
Glad is a movement. A community.

That we’re prepared to put our money where our mouths are, to stand behind a common goal and clean up the mess we’ve made of our atmosphere.
We reward climate action through prizes and savings because we know something simple: most people don’t just need a good reason to act, they need a good deal.
What we believe
We believe in the power of collective action, where small change leads to big rewards.
We believe the climate crisis is ours to fix - a challenge we can meet by working together.
Because this planet is the only home we’ve got, and it deserves a chance.
Our goal
Our first goal is bold but simple: to clean up 1 billion tonnes of greenhouse gas pollution from the atmosphere.
After that? We’ll figure it out together.
Why we exist
Glad exists to clean up the atmosphere.
Our planet has too much pollution in the air - especially greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.
These gases trap heat and make the Earth warmer, causing floods, fires, and all kinds of harm.
Each season we build up a Climate Pot of cash and use it to remove pollution from the sky.
Think of it like cleaning up a giant mess that’s been building up for years.
How we clean up the atmosphere
We back the teams working on smart ways to remove greenhouse gases. Some turn it into stone. Others lock it into wood or store it safely underground. Some use nature. Some use tech.
We look for methods that:
Work fast
Keep pollution locked away for the long term
Can scale to help the whole planet
Are grounded in real science
Don’t cause new problems
We also check that they’re good value and that they share our values.
We like people who care about the planet as much as we do.
Where the magic happens
We support great projects all over the world. If we can choose a local one, we do. But what matters most is impact. The climate crisis is global, so we go where the results are strongest.
What solutions we support
We don’t stick to one method. We back a mix of ideas and test new ones every few months.
That way, we can learn fast and keep improving. We work in seasons, each with an impact target - a specific amount of cleanup we aim to fund. At the end of each season, we review what we’ve done, check how well it worked, and decide what to support next.

Our vision
Here’s the truth. To fix climate change, we need to stop burning fossil fuels and clean up the mess we’ve already made.
Right now, we’re not moving fast enough. Emissions are rising, governments are distracted, and too many billionaires are still chasing short-term profit over long-term prosperity. But that doesn’t mean we give up. It means we roll up our sleeves and try harder.
We need every business to stop polluting. Waiting for them to change won’t work. Nor will asking politely, or chaining ourselves to trees, or gluing ourselves to the road. They’ll only change their ways when the world around them demands it.
They’ll move for one of two reasons: pressure (regulation, fines, taxation) or promise (growth, subsidies, incentives) – the stick or the carrot. Sadly, right now, both are too small.
So where will that pressure come from? It needs to come from governments, but right now that’s unlikely, as they’re distracted with goodness knows what. Governments only act when it’s the will of the people.
And that’s us - the people who care enough to act.
We don’t need to wait for permission. We can build a movement big enough to be heard. Millions of people, each doing their part, showing that together we can clean up the atmosphere and build a fairer, safer future.
Every new member makes us stronger. Every pound spent through Glad adds to our collective voice. Because what we’re building isn’t just a list of signatures – we’re making a tangible difference. Demonstrating what’s possible.
And when that voice is loud enough, it changes what’s possible.
