Brand Partner Evaluation
We follow a three-step process to review every brand partner and savings opportunity on the Glad platform.
1
Eligibility Check
We avoid brands that actively contribute to climate or personal harm.
The first step is to check the brand against a list of industries we don’t work with. These include:
Fast-fashion
Fossil fuel producers
Gambling
High-carbon luxury (e.g. private jets, superyachts)
‘Miracle’ wellness products
Pornography
Single-use or throwaway consumer goods designed for short-term use and disposal
Tobacco, vaping, and all nicotine-based products
Weapons and Defense.
2
Partner Charter
Net Positive
We prioritise brands that aim to leave the world better than they found it.
Certified B Corps, social enterprises, and mission-led companies will always have a home in the Glad community.
That said, Glad isn’t just for eco-champion brands. Our mission is to grow a global community actively contributing to climate cleanup. The savings offered by our brand partners are what make that possible. If we restricted offers only to those with impact certifications, we’d limit our reach and impact.
So if a brand passes the eligibility check, we assume it’s likely suitable unless we find red flags. We look for those by:
Reviewing how clearly they talk about sustainability
Reading customer reviews and press coverage
Checking third-party verification platforms
Speaking with the leadership team when needed
We know not every business has a sustainability team and that’s OK. What matters most is that they’re moving in the right direction.
Every brand on the platform is re-evaluated each season.
Community Fit
We look for brands that feel like part of the Glad community.
That means being open, honest, and ready to take action. If we wouldn’t feel proud to introduce them to our members, they’re not the right fit.
Momentum & Reach
We look for brands that can help move the mission forward.
That might mean scale, influence, or simply showing up with energy and purpose. Big or small it’s about how they use their platform for good.
3
Community VOTE
Once a brand passes our internal evaluation, we put it to a member vote.
We share new opportunities every week via our Happy Monday newsletter, inviting members to vote on whether they want a brand and its savings to be part of the club.
Only brands that receive a majority “yes” vote from participating members are added to the platform.
One member, one vote. The final decision belongs to the Glad community.
